A couple weeks ago, I attended a new (to me) Portland food event. It combines two of my favorite things. Brunch food AND bloody marys. I’ve been to many Portland food events and this one is one of my new favorites. The lines were shorter than expected. The portions were larger than expected. To top if off, there were plenty of places to sit and relax. It was held at Rossi Farms out near Gresham. Overall, it was a great event to add to your Portland Food Event calendar. Portland Monthly Magazine’s Country Brunch!
Country Brunch
The concept of this event is a verses battle. Local vendors participate in either the food or drink category. Then each competitor brings their best offering to Country Brunch for tasting by attendees. As guests stroll the booths they taste each bite or sip. You then can vote for your favorite entry! Let me tell you- There were some AMAZING dishes and drinks. At the end of the event winners are announced in both the brunch and bloody mary categories.
My Favorite Food Bite:
Lauretta Jeans– StrawBae Shortcake: Layers of fresh strawberries, bay leaf cream, lemon curd, and sponge cake. All topped with whipped cream and almond praline.
My Favorite Bloody Mary:
Raven & Rose– Full Irish Bloody
There were SO many wonderful vendors. Hats off to everyone involved for creating a fun, tasty and unique food event in Portland. I am already looking forward to next year’s Country Brunch!
Love, Rachel xo

Looks like you had so much fun and the food looks amazing! When I lived in Louisville, KY, I so wanted to like Bloody Marys because that’s what everyone was drinking and it’s such a popular drink during that time. My dislike for tomato juice just wouldn’t let me do it!
