Let’s have a little lesson to start. You might be asking yourself, “What is a blowout?” (no get your head out of the gutter) A blowout is going to the salon and getting your hair done without cut/color. Just a style or “blowout” which is blow drying all your hair straight, usually in sections.
Some of you might know this- I have wild hair. It’s curly/wavy and pretty long and thick. A hair dresser nightmare, if you will. I rarely ever straighten my hair. When I do, I don’t blow dry it out first. So when I stumbled upon Blowout Bar I instantly fell in love.
I had been to the Blowout Bar a couple times before I asked to do a review. I needed to share this amazing-ness with you. To start-make an appointment (on the phone or online). I went to the Pearl location, which is SO cute. You walk in and order a “look” off the menu. A classic blowout is $35 with add-ons available.
I usually default to “Sleek and Chic” option, because my hair takes FOREVER to straighten. Then you are off to the shampoo bowl for a clean and head massage (YES.)
Back to the chair for the fun to begin.
They use lots of luxurious oils and products too-for a silky smooth finish. They also have their own line of products. I highly recommend them!
Blowout Bar also does make-up, and events! It would be a perfect place for a girls night out, bachelor party, pre-wedding launch pad etc. OH and did I mention, blowouts on Sundays receive a complimentary mimosa. UM yes.
It’s a great experience and the style usually lasts a couple days, especially if you do a classic blowout. Let me know if you decide to make an appointment!
Finished product!
Check out the Blowout Bar website.
They have two locations, in the Pearl and now Bridgeport Village.
