Review: Ipsy Glam Bag April 2014

Review: Ipsy Glam Bag April 2014
I’ve been getting Ipsy bags for about 8 months now. I’ve contemplated doing a review and never did. After this month, I knew it was time.
Let me start by saying, Ipsy is a subscription service. Similar to Birchbox. Once you sign up, you take a quiz about your beauty products, beauty routine, favorites etc. Then each month you are sent a bag with products to try. Each month you review the products after you get them and your next bags become more personalized per your reviews. I’ve had some new brands, drugstore brands and high end brands. The service is $10 a month.
This month was particularly outstanding for me. So let’s open this bag together.

First product in my bag this month… Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm. I haven’t tried this product yet, but I love the packaging with the brush in the cap. Good color as well.
Full size- $19

Next product! St. Tropez Gradual Plus Anti- Aging Face Tan. I am a big self tanner, and this is one of the top brands but due to price I’ve never tried it. When I saw this in my bag I was EXCITED. The normal size of this product retails for about $65. I can’t wait to try it!

Next up, Dr. Brant Microdermabrasion. I have VERY sensitive skin- so sometimes these kinds of products scare me. My skin likes very gentle products- but I might give this a whirl. Full size- $78

I had never heard of this next brand. Elizabeth Mott Eye Shadows. The color is so rich and pigmented. Gold isn’t really my color, but blended with a matte shade could create a stunning summer eye look!
Full Size- $12.99

Last, but certainly not least a product that I LOVE. Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Pencil. I usually get this product in waterproof/full-size at Sephora and I LOVE THEM. This version is supposed to be a velvet color that creates a smoky eye. Can’t wait to try.
Full size- $21

Ipsy is a great subscription if you love make-up. $10 a month and you get a cute package delivered to your door. Plus as you can see the full-size amounts retail much, much higher. They also send out Ipsy exclusive 20% off coupon codes for each product when you go buy the full-size version. I’m telling you, try this. You can cancel anytime. But you probably won’t. Want to try it for yourself? Skip the waiting period and use my link
Let me know what you think! Or if you decide to get Ipsy for yourself.
Love, Rachel xo

I am a HUGE St. Tropez Tan fan! I use the foam formula with the mitt. I have never had a bad experience with it. 🙂

Those look so awesome: really high quality products that will be so fun to try. I've never done a subscription box before… but maybe I should try this out 🙂
