I’m back with more about my trip to Palm Springs! Our trip was from Thursday-Sunday, but to keep things short and sweet, I am going to show you my “Perfect Day” in Palm Springs. D and I had a chance to try a few different places and activities while we were there. I won’t lie, there were some hits and some BIG misses. Follow these steps for my perfect day in Palm Springs.
The Perfect Day in Palm Springs
Hotel: D and I stayed at the Hyatt in Downtown Palm Springs. I highly recommend this hotel for a couple reasons. We loved the rooms. We had a king suite overlooking the pool and mountains. Great view with a little deck we could sit and have coffee or our own private happy hour. The pool was also fantastic. It was relaxing, quiet and had poolside service (bingo!). It was also very centrally located, we didn’t need a car and could get anywhere along the Palm Springs strip.
Step 1:
Each morning D and I would wake up and put on our “workout” clothes and go for a long walk. We usually aimed for 3-5 miles (1 hr). We walked down the main drag of Palm Springs before most of the businesses opened.
Step 2:
Then we would find a place for breakfast. I CANNOT recommend Chi Chi at the Avalon Hotel enough. It was far and away the best place in Palm Springs. I loved everything about it. GO there 100%. I’ll let the pictures prove my point.
Step 3:
Then D and I would walk back to the hotel and change into our pool gear and head down to the pool for the afternoon. (swoon, take me back!)
Step 4:
Head upstairs to the room, and have one last drink on the deck. Then we would shower up and head out for dinner. D’s favorite place was a Mexican place called Maracas. I will admit, they had good margaritas. Perfect for a Palm Springs night.
Step 5:
GREAT SHAKES! One of the best milkshakes I’ve ever had. As you can see, D LOVED it.
With that my friends, your perfect day in Palm Springs has come to an end. We really enjoyed our trip and hopefully a warm vacation is in your near future.
And if that wasn’t enough…here is our selfie..only the camera was on video…oops!
Love,

Wow! Wish I was there now! Love Hyatt hotels, they usually provide excellent service.
What a great trip! The hotel looks amazing and the menu at Chi Chi sounds divine! Love how refreshed and happy you are in these photos!
I love that step 1 where you start with a walk to wake up and get a feel of the area when it’s still quiet before breakfast. And the video is cute, I like it better than a selfie to be able to witness the sweet interaction and swapping of selfie arms 🙂
OMG this looks amazing ❤️. So peaceful !!! I miss warm weather, laying by the pool and drinking a cocktail !

Ahh you’re killing me! Me and my girlfriends had planned a trip to Palm Springs for this past weekend and it got cancelled due to a few reasons. I’m so jealous of your sunny and warm weekend. Hoping me and the girls can just reschedule for next month. It’s been over a decade since I’ve been to Palm Springs!
A nice, relaxing vacation! Margaritas, pool time, long morning walks. Awesome!
Sounds like a perfect day to me!! And I loved the video! You both look happy and super relaxed!
I’ve been dying to get to Palm Springs so now I’m feeling a bit jealous. Margaritas and milkshakes are both very important to me.
Oh man, I want to go to Palm Springs so bad!
So helpful!! We are staying at the Avalon in a few weeks!
