Not many things compare to a morning cup of coffee. My usual cup of joe is just black coffee. Simple as that! Don’t get me wrong, I love myself a fancy coffee drink, but day-to-day it’s hot black coffee. I attended an early morning PR event for Groundwork Coffee where we tasted their cold brewed coffee. I’ll be honest, I don’t usually gravitate towards cold brew- but this was so tasty! I went home inspired to use Groundwork coffee in a new recipe.
Iced Coffee Latte
I got home and did a little searching online and found several people had made iced coffee lattes. This would be a perfect, easy, at-home fancy coffee drink! I started my iced coffee latte by pouring Groundwork Cold brew into ice cube trays and let them sit overnight. Then the next morning I popped the coffee cubes out of the tray and added my favorite almond milk. I let the cubes melt for about 10-15 min. You will notice in the photos the drink turns a lovely chocolate milk color. It was so refreshing and the perfect way to kick-start a summer morning. Do you have any favorite iced coffee drinks you make at home?
Iced Coffee Latte Recipe
- Iced coffee or cold brew coffee (I used Groundwork cold brew)
- Milk (I used an almond milk, but a cows milk, soy milk, or coconut milk would be perfect)
Step 1- Pour the iced coffee/cold brew into clean ice cube trays. Store in the freezer for at least 24 hours.
First, Empty coffee ice cubes into a glass. Then, Pour milk over the cubes and stir. Wait about 10-15 min prior to drinking to let the cubed melt, continue stirring occasionally. Now Enjoy!
I hope you try this recipe- it’s almost TOO easy not too. If you do, let me know what you think!

Looks delicious! Freezing the coffee in ice cubes is always good because it keeps your coffee from tasting too watery.

This looks so yummy. For some reason, iced coffee is a huge deal at my office right now. I prefer it just because it’s not as harsh on my stomach as warm coffee. This looks amazing.
