a very long time ago, i was given.. (well maybe just borrowed long-term) a book by my mom called: 14,000 things to be happy about written by Barbara Ann Kipfer.
most of my friends have spent rainy days with me in my room reading from the pages of this book.
a trip to an old neighborhood
inner tubes
those who are up and outdoors while the day is young and damp with dew
letters from close friends in far places
feeling the heat of sun while sitting in your car
defending your beliefs
coming up with ideas
being happy together
shorelines
napping in a hammock
leaves snuggled around the foundations of old country houses
things turning out the best for people who make the best of the way things turn out
shooting a whole roll of film in one day
watching the sunset and the world turning backwards
forgiving someone
the warm feelings of waking up on a cold morning and discovering you have another 20 minutes to sleep
home, where we tie one end of the thread of life
rain at night, if you are safe in bed
lounging on the deck
a well-worth-it wait
cobblestone streets
old friends to help us grow
steak fries
garlanding a banister
new england
a backless summer dress
dusky fall colors
overcoming scaredness
drifting off to sleep
travelogues
walking around a swimming pool
lighthouses
OBSESSED. in love. I NEED THIS BOOK. <3
My faves:
not worrying about what is going to happen
strangers you see so regularly that you feel they are almost friends
rain at night, if you are safe in bed
watching the sunset and the world turning backwards
forgiving someone
