This post is long overdue! My parents were in town in April and instead of hanging around Portland as we usually do, we decided to spend the weekend at the Coast. For a little backstory: My parents (mom and step-dad) used to live in Portland. I was raised here and in 2009 they were moved to Chicago for my step-dad’s job. They love coming back here and truly miss the Pacific Northwest.
D, my brother and I headed west to meet them in Lincoln City. We decided to stay in the same house we did for D’s birthday (which I am obsessed with). It was a beautiful weekend on the coast. 70’s! If you can believe it. We also ate at my FAVORITE restaurant, Restaurant Beck. I converted the rest of my family into huge fan’s of the place too! Now time to conquer the world 🙂 No food photos this time, but check out the view from the deck. You’ll see the photos and want to drive there today.
I will warn you, there are A LOT of photos, and A LOT of silly ones at that. But I loved looking through them and just couldn’t choose! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
Missing my family and the time we spend together.
Hope that wasn’t too many 🙂
Love,
Rachel xo
These pictures are all so beautiful! They really capture how much fun you were having. I keep saying "the voice of Portland!" and laughing to myself.
beautiful beautiful! i do love the coast. 🙂
I have been wanting to try Beck forever! We have a beach house in Pacific City, so it's a bit of a drive for us, but I will make it someday!!! Plus, love the CL's on the beach – That's our drink of choice for lazy beach days as well 🙂
Such pretty pictures! What a gorgeous weekend! I still really need to get to Restaurant Beck!!!
Love these photos! The one of you two at Restaurant Beck needs to be in a frame.
Rebels! Drinking Coors Light in Oregon! Thanks for the Restaurant Beck suggestion.
Definitely moving staying in Lincoln City up high on the to do list – this looks beautiful and your family looks like everyone is having a lot of fun with the sun in the horizon, so many fun poses 🙂
Fun family memories! We were at Gleneden Beach for the weekend too, not far from you. It was a lovely weekend.
Looks like it was a grand gathering. I'm envious that you were able to make it to the coast in April. I haven't been back to the Oregon coast in . . . years.
These are some great pictures! My cousin's getting married in Lincoln City this summer so you're just making me more excited to go. 😉
I love that one of your dad laughing! What a fantastic shot.
Thanks for sharing the lovely pics of your family, they are beautiful. Our family is thinking about relocating to the Portland, Oregon area and was just wondering if you had any insight or tips that you could share. We’ve lived in Texas, Oklahoma, & Colorado; my main concern is the cost of living. The great state of Oklahoma gets to tax you twice: coming out of your check and when you go shopping whether it be for groceries or anything. We love seafood and the outdoors and just by looking at the photos you’ve provided the views are spectacular!
