This Portland weather has gotten me SO in the mood for spring. It’s been 65 and sunny the past couple days. Needless to say I am ready for spring!
This weather has gotten me in the mood for crisp, thirst quenching, cocktails. Imagine sitting in the sun with one in your hand…yeah you need these cocktails!
I have concocted two amazing drinks inspired from some of my favorite classic cocktails. Stay tuned at the end of this post for information on a giveaway and special Portland event!!!!
Ok let’s get started:
Drink One: This drink is inspired from a classic Greyhound. (which is grapefruit juice and vodka) They are typically served at brunch. My version is more of a late afternoon drink after being out in the sun. You have got to try this!
1 bottle of IZZE Grapefruit soda
First, fill your glass with ice. Add about 1/3 vodka, then 2/3 IZZE Grapefruit soda. Top with the blackberries and serve immediately.
Drink Two: This is my summer take on an old fashioned. Let me just put this out there, my roommate Kristi makes one of the best old fashioneds. I love hers. So this will be “the Kristi.”
1 bottle of IZZE Clementine soda
First you fill your glass with ice, then add 1/3 rye whiskey, then add 2/3 IZZE Clementine soda. Top with two maraschino cherries and enjoy!
Now…if your mouth isn’t watering…I’m not sure whats wrong with you.
