I was a new kid on the block to Taste of the Nation this year. I heard all this buzz about how amazing the event was. I counted down the days until it was time!
To give you a quick history lesson, Taste of the Nation is “an evening with Oregon’s Best Chefs, Winemakers, Brewers & Distillers as they come together to end childhood hunger.
Each ticket purchased helps support Share Our Strength’s efforts in eliminating childhood hunger as well as our local beneficiaries.”(Taste of the Nation)
The night didn’t disappoint. It was a beautiful evening with tons of familiar faces and a couple new ones. The event was held at the Crystal Ballroom, which is a gorgeous space. While I attempted to capture every booth/food/offering…it was a little overwhelming to do so. All restaurants, wineries, breweries, and distilleries in attendance will be listed below!
First stop, CHAMPAGNE- of course. Moet is a big favorite of mine as well as my partner in crime for this event Sara from Salt. Water. Coffee.
Bringing cocktails to our lovely hosts- Lisa Hill from Lisa Hill PR and Heather Jones from Heather Jones Consulting. They are seriously the best. Love you both!
Pechluck from Pechluck’s Food Adventures is ready for Taste of the Nation- look at her pocket! She’s a pro.
Drew even came. He is such a good sport. Although, the mac n’ cheese from Laurelhurst Market was right up his alley-complete with potato chips and hot dogs! (see above. also photographed below Sara.)
Overall, this was probably one my favorite events I have attended so far. Huge thank you to all the companies who participated. You made for a fantastic event that supports such a great cause. To find out how you can continue your support of Share of Our Strength check out their website.
If you missed it this year-make sure you get tickets early next year! It’s seriously incredible.
