“Your hair is the one accessory you wear everyday”
I can’t remember where I heard that quote, but it is So true. I think it is important to take care of your hair and choose your stylists wisely.
I will admit, Marisa and I were friends before she was my stylist. I will also admit, that as long as we are in the same city, I will never let anyone else touch my hair.
This post is supposed to be about 1907 House, the salon that Marisa now works in, but more or less this post is also about Marisa. I have followed her from two salons now and will keep doing so as long as possible. Let’s cut to the chase, she is damn good at what she does.
So back to the review. 1907 House is a new salon in the Kinton Neighborhood. (North Portland) It’s super cute. It has fun touches here and there, but also still gives you the spa-like relaxation feeling as well. bingo!
It’s very cute and very “Portland”
So I sat down at Marisa’s station and told her, I want to go dark. She and I chatted about why I wanted a change, what I didn’t like about my hair now, if I had changed anything in my routine at home etc. and she was off to the mixing station.
It’s important to have someone who asks you the right questions about your hair. How much time you take in the morning, what is your hair texture like, what it looks like when you air dry it. etc. It helps a ton on how they work with your hair.
I was obsessed from the moment I saw it. I still love it! Marisa has a ton of amazing product in the salon as well. Bumble & Bumble is one of my favorites so I love when she uses that on my hair.
This product in particular… Hairdressers Invisible Oil OMGosh in love. Makes your hair SO soft and manageable.
Overall my experience is always amazing. I love going and I love chatting with Marisa. She is amazing at what she does.
