I’ve heard of a lot of different types of clubs that bring people together over a common cause. Book clubs, social clubs etc. So for a group of lovely ladies who love to eat, why not a Supper Club.
So Supper Club PDX was born. (Thanks to the help of my partner in this idea, Meredith)
We wanted to pick a great place to kick off the club and since Meredith and I had been daydreaming about Kachka, it was an easy choice.
Kachka is a restaurant with former Soviet counties (Russian, Ukraine & Belarus) cuisine, mostly focusing on smaller plates. Of course all courses go swell with vodka.
This place was a little outside the box as far as my usual choice of foods, but I knew a little adventure would start Supper Club Pdx off on the right foot.
We all decided on the Ruskie Zakuski Experience (quite the description!)
Kristi and Claire were a little nervous about the herring…
Overall the first Supper Club Pdx was a success. Kachka is an amazing restaurant if you are willing to step outside the box. There are many textures, flavors, and foods you probably haven’t tried before. The service and atmosphere are top notch. We seriously had a blast. Looks like a very interesting spot! I'm really curious as to what half of those dishes are. They look intriguing!

Kachka looks… interesting. Not sure it's really my jam, but so sorry to have missed all the Supper Clubs so far. I will make it to one soon, hopefully!
