Feast PDX happened this past weekend. I wrote posts about Feast before the event (here and here). I had NO idea how fantastic, magical and filling Feast weekend would be. I have begun putting together all the posts- so stay tuned to hear about my Feast adventures. As for now, I am on a strict detox. I ate and drank ridiculous amounts so I need to scale back.
My smoothie recipe is simple. Frozen fruit, dark leafy green, flax seed oil, almond milk, coconut water and for a treat a little almond butter.
For fruit I use: berries, melons, pineapples, mangos (the choice is really up to you) You can use frozen or fresh- depending on what is available.
For dark greens I use: kale, spinach (not frozen)
Vitamins: Flax seed oil, chia seeds
I repeat this combo for 2 of my meals. You could do three ( I did that once too). It begins to be more of a cleanse that way.
I don’t stick to too many measurements here- but I try to have at least 1 cup of liquid in the smoothie- that helps everything come together.
1 part fruit
1 part dark leafy greens
1 Tbls flax seed oil
1/2 cup almond milk
1 cup coconut water (add to improve texture)
1 Tbls almond butter
Today’s was: Kale and Berries
Now you’re all set! D bought a magic bullet, not too long ago- so I have been using that to make these bad boys!
Go on! Take a sip.
Love, Rachel xo

Sounds delish. On the same page! This morning my smoothie consisted of — 1 cup almond milk, 3 cups spinach & 1 cup pineapple. So tasty!

Haha! Yeah, I'd need that, too, after a bunch of Feast-ing. I used to drink Yogi Teas Detox blend, too. It tastes less than fantastic, but I figured that was part of the penance of overindulging. 😉
