Welcome to 2015 everyone 🙂 Hopefully your new year has started off wonderfully. As you know if you have been a reader, D & I love the ocean. We try to take trips as often as possible. We just took a day trip to Cannon Beach, so we decided to try Lincoln City for our first 2015 trip! We stayed the whole weekend and had some friends join us for a night. Overall it was peaceful, relaxing and refreshing.
Our hotel was in Lincoln City, so we tried out some local food each day. We also trekked south down 101 to take some photos, explore and meet up with my dad for breakfast one morning. Although, Cannon Beach is more sentimental to me, I am really starting to love the central Oregon coast. Winter trips are also something special on the Oregon Coast. There is a calmness and tranquility.
This trip was full of important conversations, laughs, and moments that got me on the right foot for the year. I’m ready to take on 2015.

I never get tired of looking at photos from the coast. I'm not sure why is it whenever I go there's always all these people in my shots and others I'm sharing with the beach with all over the place so it isn't as peaceful (or there is no one there because it's super windy and cold and my hair is all over my face even though I pulled it back), but your stops always seem like it's just the two of you and so contemplative!
Lovely beach photos! Makes me want to pack my things for the weekend and go. Thanks for reminder that we live in such a beautiful place.
The Oregon Coast is pretty all year, but I think it might be most beautiful in the winter…it's so serene! We are looking to taking Henry sometime soon 🙂 Beautiful pictures friend! xoxo

Yes to the Oregon coast – there is nothing quite like it and your photo essay captures it perfectly. Love it!!! ~ We have not stayed in Lincoln City before; not sure why not it looks great. We usually go to Manzanita or take the occasional trip to Newport.
