Hi Friends! Happy Thursday- or as I like to call it, Friday Eve.
Last weekend, D and I went for a little hike Saturday morning- which left us completely starving in the afternoon. Something I should mention is, D is a sandwich man. He is fairly particular when it comes to his sandwiches, but he loves a good steak sandwich.
I was shocked when I mentioned, Lardo as a lunch option and he had no idea what I was talking about. How do you not take your sandwich loving boyfriend to Lardo in 3 years? Oops.
We stopped in, and unfortunately, the Lardo North location (possibly all) is removing the Bronx Bomber from their menu (SAD FACE!) but they replaced it with this:
The Phô’rench Dip- shaved steak, hosin, sambal mayo, Thai basil, phô broth (for dipping)
As we all know, I am a noodle soup lover, be it, ramen, pho, udon, etc etc. This sandwich totally shocked me. For one, the pho broth dipping “au jus” is SPOT on. The meat was tasty and the hosin (which happens to be my favorite condiment) is the perfect amount of sweetness. I had to share- head over to Lardo North and try this bad boy!
For the record: It passed the test, D loved it too.
