New Year Detox Juice Cleanse! (You won’t want to die)

Well- it’s finally over. All the eating, celebrating, drinking, merry-making. (did I mention eating?)

Holidays have come and gone, and I hope all of you had a wonderful couple weeks. 

Now, its time to get back on track. So I am bringing you a 3-day Detox. This will help get your body back into shape and off the mindset of eating 24 hours a day. 

I sort of cheated, because I already did this cleanse- so this is sort of an introduction and review post. I have done a couple juice cleanses- and I wanted to die. So I was skeptical when one of my fiends mentioned this one. I looked it over and decided to try it. 

I would say it was much, MUCH better than any I had attempted before- and I didn’t feel like death everyday. (which is good!)

Now I did a little tweaking here-

– I subtracted a few items- it was getting a little expensive! I only used raspberries, blueberries, and bananas. I took our the apples, mangos and pineapples (but you can keep them! ) The flavors were a lot more similar but I still enjoyed the taste

– I also didn’t take baths at the end of the day. Not really a bath person. I did take a hot shower that was longer than usually and used some aromatic soaps and candles in the shower. So no salt or lavender drops. 

– I skipped the stevia (it makes my tummy hurt) I didn’t add any sweetener and didn’t feel the need to add anywhere. The berries were enough for me. 

– I also didn’t use a probiotic (only because I forgot to buy them) 

My thoughts:

You don’t have that much energy, but if you limit yourself slightly you will be totally fine (no hard core workouts) I walked for about 15-20 min a day and felt fine. 

I like the taste, and drank tea all day pretty much, instead of just at the beginning of the day which helped me stay hydrated. 

I didn’t feel super hungry, I had a headache day one- but I think it was because of lack of coffee. 

After I was done, I felt like my stomach shrank a little, smaller portions were filling and leaving me full longer (which was my goal)

I also didn’t just right back into fast food or really rich food- so I think slowly integrating those types of foods in after will be ideal. No lobster mac and cheese…at least for a week or so 🙂

    Good job. I hadn't seen this detox before. I am going to try the Blender Babe Juice detox on the 11th I am excited and nervous.
