Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about support. Support from friends. Support from the person you love. Support from your family. The support I give others.
As we go along there are highs and lows. Some people only want to be part of the high. They only want the best of you. Well ladies and gentleman, I am not always on my best behavior. You can’t have my cake and eat it too.
As I get older and learn my way around this life (a little). I am grateful by who steps up to the plate when things get low. Conversely, I am also shocked by who doesn’t.
In the past I focus more on who doesn’t and get let down. I am getting better at appreciating the people who support me. No matter the quantity. As long as you aren’t alone.
Sometimes it’s the little moments around a dinner table that mean the most. The people who want to celebrate victories with you. The people you love you unconditionally- regardless of mistakes, flaws or imperfection.
Keep those people close they will be the ones to carry you through the dark and raise you up in light at the end of the tunnel.
Last night we celebrated little victories. I remember thinking, yep i’m in the right place. Which is something to never take for granted.
Although, I may have a headache this morning. I know a couple other people do too 🙂
Love, on my mind xo
